JONPARTS - Fitment

Which key do I have?

Carmakers change key shapes far more often than model names. Find your brand below, compare your key with the photos, and order the matching cover.

  1. Take your key out and look at its outline from the side, not at the badge.
  2. Count the buttons and check whether an emergency blade slides out of the bottom.
  3. Match it to the photos below. Still unsure? Send us a photo and we confirm before shipping.

How to identify it

Look at the shape first, not the model year. The guide image shows all seven BMW key bodies, A to G. B is the classic F-Series key, C the Display Key with a screen and D the slim angled key. A, E, F and G are wedge keys: A is silver with a round black button and no BMW logo, E is the all-black version, F has a red alarm icon on the top button and G a solid black top button. The tags under each key show which covers fit it: the Alcantara cover comes in all seven, the Alcantara Signature in A, B, D and E, and the Display Key also has its own LCD cover listing.

How to identify it

Match the outline, not the model year - the guide image shows all five Audi key bodies, A to E. A and B have a chrome top (A with chrome buttons, B with split silver buttons), C is the flip key with a fold-out blade, D is the slim key with a thin chrome rim and the rings on the black body above the buttons, and E has the rings at the bottom. Both the Alcantara and the Alcantara Signature covers come in all five types.

How to identify it

Every Porsche key is car-shaped, so the differences are subtle - look just under the crest. Type A has a red accent there (Macan 2014-2025, Cayenne 2011-2017, 718 2016-2025, Cayman and Boxster 2013-2016, 911 2013-2018, Panamera 2010-2016), Type B has chrome trim and no red (Cayenne 2018-2025, Panamera 2017-2025, 911 2019-2026, Taycan 2019-2026), and Type C, the Macan EV key (2024-2026), has no chrome cap on top at all. All our Porsche covers - Alcantara, Signature and the single-colour versions - come in A, B and C.

Mercedes key types

How to identify it

Match the outline, not the model year - the guide image shows all six Mercedes-Benz key bodies, A to F. A and D are the older chrome keys (black end at the top on A, at the bottom on D), B and E are the flat keys (E has a red panic button), and C and F are the newer oval keys. C and F look alike but are different sizes: C is about 82 mm long with a large keyring hole, F about 71 mm with a small one. The Alcantara cover comes in A, B, C and F, the Alcantara Signature in A to E. AMG cars use the same key as the standard car.

How to identify it

Volkswagen has used more key shapes than any other brand we cover, which is why our listings run from Type A to Type M. Match the outline and the button arrangement in the product photos below. Several of these keys are shared with Skoda and Seat, so a VW cover often fits those too.

Fitment questions

Why do two cars of the same model need different covers?
Carmakers change the key body mid-generation without changing the model name. A 2019 and a 2021 car badged the same can carry completely different fobs, which is why we sort covers by key shape rather than by model year.
Will a cover block my key's signal?
Alcantara, suede and leather are non-conductive, so lock, unlock and boot release work exactly as before. Metal and zinc-alloy cases are the ones that can shorten range - we do not make them.
Can I still use the emergency key blade?
Yes. On every cover we make, the blade release stays accessible and the blade slides out without removing the cover.
Does a key cover stop relay theft?
No, and nothing that leaves your key usable can. A cover protects against scratches and drops. If you want to block the signal entirely you need a Faraday pouch, which is a different product - it stops the key working until you take it out.
What if the cover I order does not fit?
Tell us within 30 days and we exchange it free of charge. Sending a photo of your key before you order is faster for both of us.
Do you cover keys that are not listed here?
Often yes - we carry covers for more than 25 brands and some key shapes are shared between them. Send a photo of your key and we will tell you which listing matches.
