Carmakers change key shapes far more often than model names. Find your brand below, compare your key with the photos, and order the matching cover.

How to identify it

Look at the shape first, not the model year. BMW has used three broad families: the rounded blade key on F-Series cars (F20, F22, F30, F32, F10, F15, F25), the wider wedge key on G-Series cars (G20, G22, G30, G05, G06, G07, G42), and the LCD Display Key, which is unmistakable because it has a screen. The guide image above lays out every variant we cover and labels them A to G - find yours there, then pick the listing with the same letter.

How to identify it

Every Porsche key is car-shaped, so the differences are subtle. We label them Type A, B and C - the guide image shows all three side by side. The Macan EV uses a different body again and has its own listing. If the crest position and the button layout both match the photo, it fits.

How to identify it

Volkswagen has used more key shapes than any other brand we cover, which is why our listings run from Type A to Type M. Match the outline and the button arrangement in the product photos below. Several of these keys are shared with Skoda and Seat, so a VW cover often fits those too.

Fitment questions

Why do two cars of the same model need different covers?
Carmakers change the key body mid-generation without changing the model name. A 2019 and a 2021 car badged the same can carry completely different fobs, which is why we sort covers by key shape rather than by model year.
Will a cover block my key's signal?
Alcantara, suede and leather are non-conductive, so lock, unlock and boot release work exactly as before. Metal and zinc-alloy cases are the ones that can shorten range - we do not make them.
Can I still use the emergency key blade?
Yes. On every cover we make, the blade release stays accessible and the blade slides out without removing the cover.
Does a key cover stop relay theft?
No, and nothing that leaves your key usable can. A cover protects against scratches and drops. If you want to block the signal entirely you need a Faraday pouch, which is a different product - it stops the key working until you take it out.
What if the cover I order does not fit?
Tell us within 30 days and we exchange it free of charge. Sending a photo of your key before you order is faster for both of us.
Do you cover keys that are not listed here?
Often yes - we carry covers for more than 25 brands and some key shapes are shared between them. Send a photo of your key and we will tell you which listing matches.
