Porsche key fob type guide - compare your key shape before ordering
Fitment

Which key do I have?

Every Porsche key is car-shaped, so the differences are subtle. We label them Type A, B and C and the guide image shows all three side by side. The Macan EV uses a different body and has its own listing.

See every key type we cover

21 covers cut for Porsche keys, in Alcantara, carbon fiber and painted. Each one is shaped for one specific key body - not a universal case stretched over whatever you own.

Which Porsche key do you have?

This is the part that decides everything. Across 911, 718, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan, Porsche has used several different key bodies. Compare the fitment photo in each listing with the key in your pocket: the outline and the button layout are what matter, not the model year. The key fob cover fitment guide shows the common shapes side by side, and if you are still unsure, send us a photo and we confirm before it ships.

Not sure which key you have? Read Porsche Macan Key Fob Cover — it walks through the shapes with photos.

Materials in this collection

  • Alcantara suede - the same family of material carmakers specify for performance steering wheels and seat centers. Soft, grippy, and non-conductive, so the key's range is unaffected.
  • Carbon fiber - a light, rigid shell with a woven finish. Where a vented version is offered, take it: the vents keep the antenna area of the key open.
  • Painted shells in factory body colors, for owners who missed the colored key option when the car was ordered.
  • Leather - hand-stitched, and it darkens and softens where you hold it rather than wearing through.

Fitting it

The cover slips over the key by hand - no tools, no glue, and nothing is cut. Lock, unlock and boot release stay usable, the emergency blade still comes out, and the whole thing comes back off if you sell the car. Free worldwide shipping with duties and VAT prepaid, 30-day returns, and a free exchange if the key type turns out wrong.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which cover fits my Porsche key?
Match the fitment photo to your key - the outline and the button layout decide it, not the model year. Porsche has used several key bodies across 911, 718, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan. Send us a photo if you are unsure.
Will it block the key's signal?
No. Suede and leather are non-conductive, so lock, unlock and boot release work exactly as before. Metal and zinc-alloy cases are the ones that shorten range.
Can I still use the emergency key blade?
Yes. The blade still releases with the cover fitted.
Does a cover stop relay theft?
No, and we would rather say so. Only a Faraday pouch or a key with motion sensing stops a relay attack - no fabric or carbon cover does.

Fits my key perfectly and the suede feels exactly like my steering wheel. Worth every cent.
