Everything in this collection is wrapped in the same Alcantara suede we use for the key covers - the material family carmakers specify for performance steering wheels, seat centers and headliners. Why suede and not plastic
Suede grips. A glossy case slides off a car seat, a console and a desk; a suede one does not. It also breathes, which is why an Alcantara watch band is more comfortable in summer than silicone, and it stays quiet against a steering wheel where a metal bracelet taps.
Looking after it
Brush across the nap with a soft dry brush; a barely damp microfiber cloth lifts anything the brush leaves. Avoid silicone cleaners and leather conditioner - neither is meant for suede and both flatten the nap. Full detail is in our guide to cleaning Alcantara.
