The best gifts for Honda owners get used on every drive and hold up for years, the same test the car itself had to pass. The tricky part is that anything for a Civic, CR-V or Accord depends on a key shape or a trim detail you probably don't know.

The 15 ideas run from small things for the key ring to a Honda museum visit, roughly cheapest first. We make eleven. The other four are trips and a model kit with Honda history behind them, and each item closes on the one thing to confirm first.

Quick picks

Check their key without asking

Honda has fitted several key bodies across the Civic, CR-V, Accord, HR-V and Jazz, so the badge on the car won't settle it. When the key is lying by the door, photograph the button side and match the button count and outline to the fitment photo on the listing; our Alcantara cover comes as 2 Buttons, 3 Buttons, 3 Buttons (Hold Button) or 4 Buttons. No match? Compare the Type C and Type E covers or the key fob cover fitment guide, or ask us with the photo. Pick wrong anyway and the exchange is free.

Gift What you need to know How to find out quietly
Key cover Button count and key outline A photo of the key
Start/stop button cover Shape of the button A photo of it next time you ride along
Paddle shifters Whether the wheel has paddles A look behind the steering wheel
iPhone case The exact iPhone model Settings, General, About
Apple Watch band Case size in mm Marked on the back of the watch

Stocking fillers and small gifts for Honda owners

Best overall

1. Honda Alcantara key cover

The key is the part of a Honda that gets handled hardest: the plastic shell rides with coins and house keys and scuffs long before the paint does. This cover is cut for one Honda key body and hand-stitched from Alcantara, the Italian suede, so it feels softer without adding bulk in a jeans pocket.

Choose from Orange, Green, Light Grey and Dark Grey, plus a Metal Ring or Alcantara Cord. Dark Grey blends into a black Honda interior; Orange suits the owner whose Civic is anything but quiet.

Good to know: choose the Key Shape from your photo, not the model year. Lock, unlock and trunk buttons work as before, the emergency blade still slides out, and a wrong shape gets a free exchange.

2. Suede-look cover for other Honda key shapes

Not every Honda key matches the four shapes above. The Type C and Type E covers are cut for two more Honda key bodies, in a soft suede-look microfiber with hand-stitched edges and full button access. All three Honda listings sit side by side in our Honda key fob covers collection, which makes comparing photos easier.

Good to know: this card is Type C, and the Type E cover is a separate listing. Put your photo of their key next to both, or send it to us. The free exchange applies here too.

3. Alcantara AirTag cover

If the CR-V or HR-V is the family car, its key spends its life moving between jackets, school bags and the kitchen counter. Clip an AirTag into this suede holder and the key shows up in Find My when nobody remembers who had it last, without the tracker tapping against the Honda key in a pocket.

Good to know: the AirTag itself is Apple's and not included, so add one unless they have a spare. The suede doesn't block Bluetooth or the speaker.

4. Alcantara keychain

The zero-risk option. It goes on any key ring, from an older Honda with a classic bladed key to a new Civic smart key, and you don't need to know anything about either.

Good to know: there is no color choice, so check the product photo if it should match their key cover. The ring and clasp are steel, so the suede never carries the weight.

5. Carbon fiber start/stop button cover

On a high-mileage Civic or CR-V with push-button start, the button's ring and lettering are often worn smooth from being pressed twice a trip. This real carbon cap presses on over the original without touching the switch underneath, and fits in under a minute.

Choose Carbon Black or Ruby Red. Red is the one for a Type R fan: Type R models wear a red H badge that traces back to the RA272, the first Honda to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Good to know: button sizes differ, so this CRV / Civic / Accord version has siblings for Civic / Accord / City and Jade / Fit / XRV. Match a photo of their button, and check the car has one at all: some Hondas still start with a turn of the key.

The sweet spot: phone, earbuds and watch

These four share the key cover's Alcantara, and the rest is in our Alcantara accessories range.

For the phone

6. Alcantara iPhone case

Recent Civics, CR-Vs and Accords put the phone's maps and music on the dash screen, so the phone makes every trip, usually on the console tray. Suede stays put on that tray and on a seat, and the raised rim holds the lens and glass off the surface when it lands face down.

Pick the color of their Honda key cover (Dark Grey, Light Grey, Orange or Green) so the key and phone match.

Good to know: the list covers iPhone 14 to iPhone 17 (not the 16e), the 17 Air, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and iPhone Ultra. MagSafe chargers still snap on with the suede in between.

7. Alcantara MagSafe cardholder

For the Accord commuter who taps a card for parking, fuel and the office door. Two or three cards sit flat against the iPhone's back, and a thumb slot pushes the bottom card out at a parking barrier while the rest stay put.

Good to know: it holds on by MagSafe, so check their iPhone has it built in (the SE and 16e, for example, don't) or add a MagSafe case such as the Alcantara one above. Dark Grey is the sole option.

8. Alcantara AirPods case

If their AirPods ride in the CR-V's center console with loose change and parking stubs, the case is scratched by spring. Suede stops it skating around, and a carabiner in the box clips it to a gym bag instead.

Good to know: it is made for AirPods Pro (1st and 2nd generation) and AirPods 3rd and 4th/5th generation. AirPods Pro 3 isn't one of the sizes, so look up the model name in their iPhone's Bluetooth settings first.

9. Alcantara Apple Watch band

For the Civic owner who drives a manual, a metal bracelet taps the rim and the gear knob every time a hand moves between them, and silicone gets clammy on a long highway run. Suede stays quiet and breathes, and it fits with Apple's own lug connectors.

Good to know: the size is marked on the back of the watch, and 42mm can go either way: a 42mm Series 3 or older takes the larger band, a 42mm Series 10 or later needs the smaller.

Bigger upgrades for paddle-shift Hondas

Just one here, because it only suits a Honda with paddles behind the wheel. The rest of our carbon trim is in the Honda carbon fiber parts collection.

10. Carbon fiber paddle shifters for the 11th-gen Civic

If their Civic has paddles behind the wheel, the stock plastic ones leave them reaching round the rim mid-corner. These real carbon extensions clip over them with 3M adhesive, adding roughly 40-60 mm of reach so a downshift happens with hands at nine and three, and nothing is cut or unplugged.

Good to know: paddles only come with an automatic or CVT gearbox, and the current Civic Type R is manual-only, so for a Type R owner look at the start/stop button cover instead, after matching its photo to their button. Versions also exist for the earlier Civic / Accord and the Fit / Jazz / Vezel; the paddle shape in the fitment photo decides it.

Experiences and things we don't make

Not from us, but each one means something to a Honda fan.

11. A Tamiya Honda NSX Type R model kit

The Type R name first appeared on the NSX in 1992, so this is where the red badge story starts. Tamiya has made a 1/24 Honda NSX Type R kit (24321) with photo-etched detail parts, a good winter project for a Civic Type R owner.

Good to know: older kits go in and out of production, so check Tamiya's product page or a local model shop. Glue and paint are usually sold separately.

12. A visit to the Honda Heritage Center in Ohio

Honda's own museum is in Marysville, Ohio, where the first American-built Accord came off the line. It tells Honda's North American story through motorcycles, power equipment, cars, ASIMO and the HondaJet. For a US Accord owner, that makes it a road trip with a point.

Good to know: visiting days and group rules are set by Honda, and adults are asked for photo ID, so read the official Heritage Center page before you set off.

13. The Honda Collection Hall at Mobility Resort Motegi

For an owner who has always wanted to see Japan, build the trip around Honda's main museum, inside the Mobility Resort Motegi circuit complex in Tochigi. It reopened in March 2024 after a renewal and lays out motorcycles, cars, power products, racing machines and the HondaJet across four eras.

Good to know: entry is through the resort, so check the official Collection Hall page for access.

14. A trip to Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix

Honda built Suzuka Circuit in 1962, and its subsidiary Honda Mobilityland still runs the figure-of-eight layout today. It is also home to the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, which makes it the obvious pilgrimage for a Honda racing fan.

Good to know: race dates and tickets change every year, so start at the official Suzuka Circuit site.

15. JONPARTS gift card

When the key photo never happens, or they have just switched iPhones, let them pick for themselves. Delivery is by email, so nothing ships, and it can go on Honda key covers, the carbon start/stop buttons or any Alcantara accessory.

Good to know: the code lands in the inbox you use at checkout, not theirs, so pass it on in a message or copy it into a card. Any balance they leave can be spent another time.

If the Honda shares the driveway with another car, start at our gifts hub for car people, which spans every brand we make covers for. Japanese-car households may also want the lists for Toyota owners and Mazda owners.

Common questions

What are good gifts for Honda owners?

Something they handle every day, which for most Honda owners means the key and the phone. A cover for their Honda key needs only a photo of the key to get right, and the Alcantara iPhone case comes in the same four colors. For a Type R fan, the Ruby Red start/stop button cover or the Tamiya NSX Type R kit goes straight to the red-badge story.

Will a Honda key cover fit a Civic, Accord or CR-V?

It depends on the key, not the model. Each of our Honda covers is cut for one key body, and Honda has used more than one shape across the Civic, Accord, CR-V, HR-V and Jazz. Match the outline and button count to the product photos, or send us a snapshot of the key and we'll confirm.

How do I protect a Honda Civic key from scratches?

A fitted cover is the simplest fix. It wraps the plastic shell so coins and other keys stop marking it, while every button stays usable. The edges are stitched, not glued, so there is no seam to lift after a winter in a coat pocket, and our guide on how to clean an Alcantara key cover keeps the suede fresh.

Do Honda key fob covers affect keyless entry?

Not fabric ones. Alcantara and the microfiber on the Type C and Type E covers don't conduct, so the car still picks up the key in a pocket or bag and every button works as before. Avoid metal and zinc-alloy cases; our piece on whether a key fob cover blocks the signal shows why.

What if I buy the wrong Honda key cover?

Send it back for the right shape. A wrong key type is swapped free, other returns are accepted for 30 days, and shipping is free worldwide with us covering duties and VAT, so mixing up the 3 Buttons and 3 Buttons (Hold Button) shapes costs you a few days rather than money.
